Most people want to be part of a group, to identify with and confide in. You turn to your group with your concerns, to get reassured that you don’t have to worry. And when there is a threat, we gather in groups and help each other. Gröndal is a quiet and peaceful part of Stockholm. Statistically, people should feel safe here. Still, the local Facebook group is constantly updated with impending threats and alarms, such as a mysterious pile of something – maybe rice?! – on the football court, an unknown sailboat at the bathing place or a sharp nail on the sidewalk. AT RISK is a film about our troubled souls, through a study of the feeling of anxiety that so often characterizes the safer areas. What are we so afraid of, really?
