THE SMUGGLER

Lisbeth Grägg is about to realize the most important mission of her life - to find the gun that her father points at himself in 1940, when he is fired upon by the Russians during the Winter War. Badly injured, the father fails to take his own life. The gun goes astray, but Lisbeth, born a few years after the war, grows up with the story of the shot that went wrong, a sliding door to her own existence. Lisbeth arranges a meeting with Macho-Hans, one of Finland's leading arms dealers, who is said to have the weapon in his possession. The idea is to smuggle the gun home to Sweden, on a cruise ship, in the handbag. What can possibly go wrong?
